Turkey Apple Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rubbed sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 pound ground turkey

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except ground turkey.
  2. Add the ground turkey and mix well. Shape mix into 4 patties. Cook the patties 6 – 7 minutes on each side in a grill pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Serve on whole wheat hamburger buns and top with your favorite condiments.
