An Easy Way to Remove Pomegranate Seeds

You can use your ice cream scoop to remove pomegranate seeds.
No. Really!
I've seen so many tricks for removing the juicy seeds from a pomegranate, but it wasn't until my niece, Holly, showed me this method that I decided that it would be my go-to technique.
Use a paring knife to cut around a ripe pomegranate.
Separate the two pieces and loosen the seeds up a little. Then, over a large bowl, hold one of the pieces cut side down. Using the back of an ice cream scoop, hit the pomegranate half and the seeds will release into the bowl.
Like this.
Get the kids involved by letting them wield the ice cream scoop to knock the seeds out of the fruit.
