Sharpening & Repair

Can you sharpen my knives?

Yes. Backed by The Forever Guarantee, we'll sharpen all of your Cutco Knives for free. They will go through a detailed multi-step process. Once complete, they are returned to you and will be ready to be used daily for years to come. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.

What about my other Cutco Products?

All Cutco Products are backed by The Forever Guarantee. This includes accessories, gadgets, tableware, cookware and more. If at any time you are not completely satisfied with the performance of your Cutco Product, we will correct the problem or replace it. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.

What should I do if one of my products breaks?

Complete a service request and follow the shipping instructions. Once we have your package in Olean, New York, skilled professionals will inspect the product to determine if it needs to be repaired or replaced with new product. We will then ship the product back to you. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.

If the damage was caused by an unconventional use, we will replace the item for one half of the current retail price. See The Forever Guarantee for more details.

How long does it take to have my knives sharpened?

Once we receive your package in Olean, New York, please allow 2-3 weeks for the return of your products. Please note that while tracking may show we have received the package, service on the products may not have started.

How much does sharpening cost?

Sharpening is always free. There is a nominal return shipping fee to cover the cost of sending your items back to you.

Where do I send my products?

Can I drop my knives off for service?

There is a service drop box located at the front entrance of our office at 7-2351 Huron Street, London, ON N5V 0A8. Any Cutco Products dropped off at thtis location should be packaged as if they were being mailed with UPS or Canada Post. All packages must include a complete service request confirmation enclosed. Packages left in the drop box should be no larger than 10"W × 6"H × 15.5"L (25.4cm × 15.24cm × 39.37cm).

Can my vintage products be sharpened or repaired?

If you have vintage products (products made before 1990), in most cases we can still service them. If we can’t, we’ll replace them. If you don't want your vintage products replaced, you can choose to have the original items returned to you when you create a service request.

How often should I send my knives to be sharpened?

With proper use and care, the edge on your straight-edge and Double-D®-edge knives should last years. When you notice they aren’t performing as you expect, send them for free sharpening and we’ll get them like new.

Orders & Returns

Why are you adding sales taxtax?

Regulations require Cutco to collect sales tax on orders shipping in all states in the U.S. except New Hampshire, Montana, Oregon and Delaware.

Where required, tax is also applied to shipping, gift wrap and personalization. Appropriate charges will be added to your order total and displayed on your order confirmation. When sales tax cannot be calculated at the time of an order being placed, the order total will be adjusted with the correct amount prior to shipping.

Regulations require Cutco to collect sales tax (GST and PST or HST) where applicable. Tax is calculated based on the order total, including shipping and handling, gift wrap and personalization. Provincial tax will be calculated on the ship to address for the order. When sales tax cannot be calculated at the time of an order being placed, the order total will be adjusted with the correct amount prior to shipping.

How do I cancel an order?

What is your return policy?

If within 15 days of receiving your product you are not completely satisfied with your new product, you may send it back for a full refund. See The Forever Guarantee for more details.

What types of payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Paypal is available on cutco.com.

Do you provide payment plans?

For orders $200 or more, you can break your order into two equal payments, and a $5 admin fee will apply. For orders $300 or more, you can break your order into three equal payments, and a $10 admin fee will apply.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time orders can only be shipped within the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam.

At this time orders can only be shipped within Canada.

Is shipping free?

For your convenience, the cost of regularstandard shipping and handling is included in the price of products. Express shipping options are is available for an additional cost.

When should I receive my order?

Most orders arrive in 7-10 business days with included regularstandard shipping. Express shipping options are is available for an additional cost.

Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for orders with engraved custom text and 2-4 business days for orders with a monogram to ship, even when express shipping is requested.

Personalization & Gift Wrap

Can I personalize or gift wrap products when sending as a gift?

Yes. The blade of most knives and accessories can be personalized with engraved custom text or a monogram. See each product for more detail.

All products ordered can be wrapped individually or together in one box. A wrapping fee will apply to each wrapped package.

How long does the process take?

Orders with gift wrap will ship normally. Allow an additional 1-2 business days for engraved custom text orders to ship, and 2-4 days for monogrammed orders, even if express shipping is requested.

Can personalized product be returned?

Due to the personalization, products engraved with custom text or a monogram cannot be returned under the 15-Day Unconditional Money Back Guarantee. All other aspects of The Forever Guarantee do apply.
