Instructions

COVER CLEAN KNIVES COMPLETELY AND SECURELY. Cereal box cardboard or the original cardboard sheath shipped with your items work well. Wrap in an extra layer of tissue paper or newspaper.

DO NOT USE TAPE ON THE BLADES OR HANDLES. Tape or adhesives cannot be removed and those items cannot be serviced.

DO NOT SHIP IN A PADDED OR PAPER ENVELOPE. Place only knives in a sturdy corrugated cardboard box. The knives shouldn't be able to freely move around in the box. Fill excess space with tissue paper or newspaper.

DO NOT SHIP YOUR BLOCK OR TRAY. Knives will fall out of the slots and the box during transport, causing danger to all carriers. Wrap each knife separately and securely.

INCLUDE YOUR PRINTED CONFIRMATION IN YOUR PACKAGE. If paying by check, please make payable to Cutco, and include in your package.

Can you sharpen my knives?
Yes. Backed by The Forever Guarantee, we'll sharpen all of your Cutco Knives for free. They will go through a detailed multi-step process. Once complete, they are returned to you and will be ready to be used daily for years to come. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.

What about my other Cutco Products?
All Cutco Products are backed by The Forever Guarantee. This includes accessories, gadgets, tableware, cookware and more. If at any time you are not completely satisfied with the performance of your Cutco Product, we will correct the problem or replace it. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.

What should I do if one of my products breaks and needs repaired?
Complete a service request and follow the shipping instructions. Once we receive your package in Olean, New York, skilled professionals will inspect the product to determine if it needs to be repaired it or replaced with new product. We will then ship the product back to you. A nominal return shipping fee will apply based on the quantity of items serviced.
If the damage was caused by an unconventional use, we will replace the item for one half of the current retail price. See The Forever Guarantee for more details.
How long does it take to have my knives sharpened?
Once we receive your package in Olean, New York, please allow 2-3 weeks for the return of your products. Keep in mind that while tracking may show we have received your package, service may not have started.
How much does sharpening cost?
Sharpening is always free. There is a nominal return shipping fee to cover the cost of sending your items back to you.

Can I drop my knives off for service?
Can my vintage products be sharpened or repaired?
If you have vintage products (products made before 1990), in most cases we can still service them. If we can’t, we’ll replace them. If you don't want your vintage products replaced, you can choose to have the original items returned to you when you create a service request.
How often should I send my knives to be sharpened?
With proper use and care, the edge on your straight-edge and Double-D®-edge knives should last years. When you notice they aren’t performing as you expect, send them for free sharpening and we’ll get them like new.
