Mary-Ann's Award Winning Chili

- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 lb. hot spicy ground pork
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1 medium Spanish onion (diced)
- 28 oz. tomato sauce
- 28 oz. diced tomatoes
- 14 oz. Bushs original pork & beans
- 28 oz. red kidney beans
- 8 oz. fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 tsp. Sriracha Sauce (or more if desired)
- 1 heaping tbsp. Chili powder
- Paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 crushed cloves garlic
Directions
- In an 8 quart stock pot, brown ground beef and ground pork. Drain off excess grease. Salt and pepper to taste. Dice onion and green pepper, and add to meat. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, chili powder, paprika, and garlic.
- Simmer on low for an hour or until green peppers and onions are soft. Add sliced mushrooms, pork & beans and kidney beans.
- Simmer an additional hour to boil off excess moisture to desired thickness.
- You may want to add additional chili powder, paprika, or Sriracha sauce if you prefer more spice!
