Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 sweet onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 small yellow bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 15-ounce can solid-pack pumpkin
- 1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 4.5-ounce can diced green chilies, undrained
- 4 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Brown the turkey in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, breaking apart the meat as it cooks.
- Drain and transfer to a lightly greased slow cooker or, for easy clean up, line the cooker with a slow cooker bag.
- Stir in the onions, peppers, pumpkin, tomatoes with juice, green chilies, chili powder, garlic salt, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Serve with a garnish of sour cream and chives (optional).
